Message from SLJBC
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the website of the Sri Lanka – Japan Business Council (SLJBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The SLJBC, which is also the oldest Bilateral Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber, was inaugurated in 1979 together with its counterpart council, the Japan – Sri Lanka Business Corporation Council of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tokyo.
The council is the foremost member-run organization involved in promoting trade, tourism, and investments between Sri Lanka and Japan. Therefore, we hope that this website would further our objective by bringing together representatives of Japanese businesses interested in doing business with Sri Lanka and representatives of Sri Lankan businesses interested in doing business with Japan.
The membership of the council is currently composed on close to 100 member companies who are Sri Lankan companies engaged in doing business with Japan. We wish to invite you to join the membership of our council as an Ordinary Member, if your company is registered in Sri Lanka or as an Associate Member if your company is not registered in Sri Lanka.
The Council regularly organizes meetings and networking sessions with the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan, as well relevant governmental institutions in Sri Lanka. We are also able to help our members establish or enhance business linkages with Japan and can help Japanese companies interested in investing in or finding suitable business partnerships in Sri Lanka. We are able to provide these services through Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, forums and networking events.
Please do feel free to contact us at any time and we would be happy to help you enhance business relationship between Sri Lanka and Japan.
