The History of the SLJBC

SLJBCは、 在スリランカ日本商工会議所との基本合意書に
基づき、1979年にセイロン商工会議所(日本ビジネス協議会)により設立されました。

その後、スリランカと日本の間で 19 回の合同会議が開催
されました。(最近では 2016 年 6 月にスリランカのコロンボで開催されています) SLJBC は、セイロン商工会議所の最初の
二国間ビジネス協議会です。

The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) is the main agency that approves any Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) or Local Investments. The BOI is governed by the Board of Investment Law No.4 of 1978 (BOI Law) and the various amendments to the same act.

Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority

Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) is the government authority tasked with planning, development, regulation, and policy implementation of tourism and related industries.

Liaise and co-ordinate with Sri Lanka’s Diplomatic Mission in Japan, on matters of relevance to achieve the objectives;

Liaise and co-ordinate with the Diplomatic Mission of Japan in Sri Lanka, on matters of relevance to achieve the objectives;

Exchange information with relevant parties in the partner country, with regard to trade, investment and tourism.

Facilitate meetings between persons from the partner country seeking business and investment opportunities and relevant persons in Sri Lanka, including Government functionaries;

Make arrangements for the provision of relevant services to persons from the partner country seeking business and investment opportunities;

Make recommendations to the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce with regard to policy interventions that may be required, to create a conducive environment for the promotion of trade, tourism and investment.

SLJBCの 歴史

The Sri Lanka – Japan Business Council was set up in 1979 as the Sri Lanka – Japan Business Co-operation Committee (SLJBCC) by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, following a Memorandum of Understanding with the Japan – Sri Lanka Business Co-operation Committee (JSLBCC) of the Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI).
